Course Goals

In addition, this assignment will connect to our course goals by using writing and reading for inquiry, learning, thinking, and communicating.

Prompt

As you go about your lives, can you be confident in what you think you know? Perhaps a glimmer of light may change or challenge your perception—the way you think about the world. So, will you break free to struggle towards the light, even at the costs of losing friends and family, or will you continue in the comforts of familiar illusions?  What is the truth? What is a habit? What is light? What is a shadow? Hard choices.

Therefore, using something from your personal life, analyze the meaning of Plato’s Cave. Make sure your analysis includes explanations of the following items:

Prisoners and chains The entity that imprisoned the people  Shadows projected onto the wall The journey out of the cave and the sun The prisoner who returns to the cave

Your paper should follow these guidelines:

I recommend creating a free student account with Grammarly and checking your paper for grammar and structure. Really, do it!
